Conversation lesson: A book club
Students: Megi00 Ashland, Giorgi
Deluxe, Toma, Bobo Spot, Leslie (Europe, Asia)
Teachers: AHA Epax (USA)
This lesson was devoted to a book
called: Number the Stars by Lois Lowry
It’s written from the point of
view of 10 year old Annemarie Johannsen. The story is based in Copenhagen in
1943 the third year of occupation of Denmark. It’s a nice book and I think it’s
worth reading. I am not going to tell you what it is about. We were discussing
this book.
[09:21] Professor A.H.A. Pax: Did
you like this book? Yes, no, and why or why not?
[09:21] Leslie: yes, because it
was interesting and short and easy to read
Some people liked the style it
was written in. Some liked the story because it was a very interesting one.
[09:36] Professor A.H.A. Pax: Are
there times when it is better not to know things for your own protection or should
you always have all the information
How would you answer this
question? It has a connection with the book as well. I think it’s always
important to know the vital information. This was an interesting lesson - to
see all the different points of view. Our next book club will be next June. The
book we supposed to read until then is Harry Potter and the sorcerer’s stone.
Can’t wait!!
