Don´t be a bad apple

Lekce psaní je vždy fantastická, s lektorkou jsme se jako vždy opět vrhli rovnou k tématu. Nejdříve se nás zeptala, zda-li už jsme po obědě nebo po večeři, podle toho, ve kterém státě bydlíme. Ptala se nás proto, že dnešním tématem bylo právě jídlo, tedy „food“.

Jak zněly pokyny pro náš první úkol?

a co hlavně? Používejte „big sentences“, tedy rozsáhlé a bohaté věty. Jistě vás zajímá, jak to dopadlo a jeden z textů si můžete přečíst právě zde:

„I think that I must start with my the most horrible food, because I can not finish this article with this horrible liver sauce from the school canteen. It looks like very badly and it smells like brother´s feet. Altought I am very hungry sometimes I can not see this ugly sauce. My not favourite, but not the worst food is breaded califlower, but this vegetables is usually served with mashed potatoes and I like it, so I have only a half of this food for lunch. As normal food can be bread with chees for me. I can eat everywhere and whenever. It is not special. My favourite meal is my father´s tomato sauce with beef and dumplings, I can eat 5 slice of that wtih this sauce. But of course, tomato sauce is my favourite, but after the sirloin sauce with meat and dumplings. My mother can make sirloin sauce that is out of this world.“

Druhý úkol už byl mnohem vážnější než ten předchozí. Téma znělo „famine“. Zde přikládám otázky k zamyšlení a zároveň nám sloužily jako podklady pro naše texty:

Where is famine most common?

Why does famine happen?
How can it be dealt with?    
 

Především bylo naším úkolem argumentovat svým názorům.

"….I know that there are a lot of people who live without food a whole their life. It must be horrible….."

A co z toho můžete vytvořit?

I wish English would be as easy as apple pie, but it is not, because there are so many phrasal verbs! When I was young and I wanted to study English I used to meet a lot of  bad apples during my study, but now that I see an English teacher full of beans in my life and I feel, that is not worth a hill of beans.

Už jsme těsně před koncem, přesto jsme stihli ještě jeden úkol a ten zněl: „Imagine you are a chef (a person in charge) in motorway service restaurant and you have to set the menu“

I think that make up a good menu is very difficult question for everybody.

-      Typically food for men: steak with potatoes
-          Typically food for women: pastas with cheese
-          Typically food for all: some sauce (sirloin, tomatoes)

Lekce byla opravdu perfektně vedená, za což jsme lektorce všichni moc poděkovali.
