Let's go to Lybia!!!

Lekce angličtiny ve virtuálním prostředí Languagelab

Speaking Lesson: Current news
Students:Togzhan Thistle, Marwah Kroll, Addar, Megi00 (Europe, Asia)
Teacher: Danielle Pamplin (USA)

This lesson was about current news or what is happening in our lives. We could share different stories. Toghzan talked about her’s and her husband’s trip along the coast of America. They travelled from Orlando, I think, to Florida and visited different beaches. She really enjoyed it. She visited a beach called Pompano. This beach is somewhere in Florida. My geographical knowledge of America is quite poor so if there are any discrepancies I apologize upfront. Addar was talking about his studies in France. He studied geology there. However the most interesting part of his story was about a trip he took from France throughout Europe to Tunisia.
He wanted to get to Lybia where he is originally from, but had some problems on the border. Apparently they didn’t want to allow him in. He had to try a different place to cross the border, where he had to queue for 4 hours. He actually had to bribe (to try to make someone do something for you by giving them money, presents, or something else that they want) the police to be let into Lybia. When he finally arrived in his home town he was given a bad news that his grandfather had died and there is a funeral just now. Unfortunately it wasn’t in the same town so he drove for another three hours to attend the funeral. He got there late; the funeral had just finished….it was a very interesting story…..
