We met in
the park. There was a tree without leaves with a beehive (a box where bees live
and honey can be collected)
Honey is
made by bees. They collect pollen ( a powder that is produced by
flowers) and store it in honey comb (a wax structure where bees keep
the honey)
Tugce5504
talked about people who keep bees and make their living in this way. It can be
quite difficult but rewarding.
[11:18] Tugce5504 Coy:
beekeeping is daily bread for some people
Donatela showed us a nursery rhyme about a baby bumblebee
Here are the lyrics.
I'm bringing home a baby bumblebee,
Won't my mommy be so proud of me,
I'm bringing home a baby bumblebee,
Ouch! It stung me!
I'm squishing up the baby bumblebee,
Won't my mommy be so proud of me,
I'm squishing up a baby bumblebee,
Ooh! It's yucky!
I'm wiping off the baby bumblebee,
Won't my mommy be so proud of me,
I'm wiping off the baby bumblebee,
Now my mommy won't be mad at me!
New words
Squashy – soft and easy to crush
Wiping off – to remove something from
somewhere
I liked the talk about bees and their keepers. It was very
interesting.
