Konverzační hodina Tips and Techniques

Má první hodina s učitelkou Deliou. Říkala, že
vyrostla v Americe a nyní žije v Itálii, ale když mluvila, tak jsem
opravdu slyšela typický americký přízvuk. Měla hodinu velice dobře
rozplánovanou, což je na jednu stranu super, ale na druhou jsme neměli moc
možnost spolu normálně mluvit.
Začali jsme první úkolem:
1. What's a dilemma?
2. Have you experienced any dilemmas recently?
Co je dilema asi nikdo vysvětlovat nepotřebovat, ale
stejně jsme si řekli definici. Potom jsme každý postupně odpověděli na druhou
otázku. Co se mi tady líbilo, bylo, že jsme se sami ptali jeden druhého a ne
Delia nás. Dalo nám to více možnost mluvit a asi i více vnímat, co ostatní
odpovídajíJ.
Další úkol byl na porozumění textu. Střídali jsme se
v odpovídání na otázky, a když měl někdo jiný názor, tak jsme spolu
dokonce i argumentovaliJ.

Everyone
around the world is tired of watching gas prices inch up day by day. Most car
owners are driving less than they used to and many people are opting to take
public transportation. The high price of gas is really affecting the average
person’s lifestyle as they have to decide whether to drive or to eat.
Další část byla gramatická. Řekli jsme si rozdíl
v používání if & whether, o kterém jsem já třeba nikdy neslyšela.
Vlastně jsem o té doby neznala ani slovo whether, takže to pro mě bylo úplně
nové. Do mezer „_______“ jsme měli doplnit vhodné slovo a po chvíli jsme si to
společně zkontrolovali.
III. Grammar Practice

which sentences can both 'if' and 'whether' be used?
'Whether' has the same meaning as 'if', but
'if' is never used before 'to + infinitive'.

Po tom, co jsme ho shlédli, jsme měli opět do
vynechaných mezer „_____“ doplnit slova z nabídky. Myslím, že to bylo
docela jednoduché a nikdo s tím neměl žádný velký problém.

Úplně nakonec jsme si povídali o dilematech, které
řešíme normálně během dne. Některé z nich jsme měli v polovičních
větách a našim úkolem bylo, je dotvořit.
