This was a preparation for IELTS exam. In the IELTS exam you would get a text to read and then, after reading, a task follows; something like you can see below.
Complete the summary below. Choose your answers from the box at the bottom of the page and write them in boxes 1-8 on your answer sheet.

NB   There are more words than spaces so you will not use them all. You may use any of the words more than once.

What usually follows is something that we call reading for a gist. That means that you look quickly through the text and point out the key words to get an idea what is the text about.
 Then concentrate on the task itself. You may try to read the exercise and use words that you think could go there. They could be synonyms of the words in the list. Then use the words given to fill in the text.
