Travel

Conversation Lesson

Tutor: Iffag Ling
Students: Edouard, France, Megi, The Czech Republic

There were just three of us in this lesson, a tutor and two students. The whole lesson was targeted on speaking practice and the topic was travelling. We were talking about travelling abroad. Edouard being a pilot, he travels a lot and has seen many nice places. Iffag lived in Thailand for many years, and was telling us how much different it is to live in a country that has very hot summers. Apparently the whole lifestyle is much slower than in European countries and totally different. I have to agree on this with Iffag. Even though I haven’t lived there and went to Thailand just for holiday, I found the pace of life rather slow and a bit boring. But I may have been living in Europe for too long…..))
We touched other areas of travelling too. For example we talked about an exploitation of places by tourism and whether tourism is really beneficial for places and people. Our opinions differed rapidly but it was a very stimulating discussion.
